Magazine Fundraiser

We are going to solicit magazine orders. Most people read magazines, so we want families, uncles, aunts, neighbors, and co-workers to order from us. We both win because of the great prices for magazines we can offer and the school gets a portion of the overall sales. The sale will begin the week of March 15.

Woodruff/Heights Youth Baseball

Would you like to play competitive youth baseball in the summer of 2010? Our "home" fields in the summer are right here at Von Steuben but we begin winter practices to improve baseball fundamentals and conditioning in February - one time per week at no charge. If you, a sibling, a friend or relative will be between the ages of 7 to 14 as of May 1, 2010 then please join us for one or both of the following events. An informational meeting for Parents will be held at Peoria Pizza Works on 1/16 @ 3pm. Baseball evaluations will be held on 1/31 from 2-4pm in the Peoria Heights High School Gym. There are no School District limitations for these competitive youth baseball teams. There are 4 age levels that will have teams: 8 & under (Coach Pitch), 10 & under, 12 & under, 14 & under. Those interested in coaching and volunteering are needed, as well. Questions? Please contact Corey Kelly at 309-472-3704.

USED BAND INSTRUMENTS

Do you or anyone you know have any used band instruments that you would be willing to donate to Von Steuben? If so, please bring them to the office. They will be put to good used for those students who are unable to obtain an instrument. Any instrument would be appreciated, but clarinets and trumpets are especially needed.
